"Fighting Loneliness"
was born as 1 small attempt of mine to get some practice with web design.
By that time i started playing with PS 5.0 and i was making lot of disastrous
stuff. I thought some of my silly things were better than other that
were "floating" in the net, so i thought it was worth publishing
my wallpapers in such an "uncontroled" place as Internet :P
So i did it. The death of a good friend from my childhood made me advance
and i decided to make this site a reality. Fighting Loneliness is dedicated
also to her memoriam. Besides i wanted to express myself in the net,
since i´ve never been a fan of msn, blogs and such things, soi
wanted to create my own site...
After
seeing that some people was enjoying my "work" i decided to
turn this site -slowly- into a more "serious" place as long
as my "art" deserved that. Winona´s version was so successful
that i was encouraged to keep learning and uploading my artworks here.
But that was some years ago...months have passed and i´m still
learning.
It is said that i have got quite
a personal style that makes me very different from others, but i still
can´t understand which is my style . After 4 years, all i know
is that i´ve improved and that there is still a long way to walk.
Achivements that i´ve got are, for instance, independence
thanks to my own resources, plus respect from some
real designers who have tried to convince me of my own skills. I´m
currently working as a freelance designer, i´ve got some awards
with some posters and i earn some extra money to pay this site and my
books on design;)
Anyway, I´ve developed new
techniques, and i´ve found new ways of inspiration.
I´m still working hard to control Flash at 70% and i also wanna
have full experience with Freehand...but i need time. What it didn´t
change here was my illusion, my need of staying away from the public
eye and the support of my real-life friends & anonymous loyal visitors.
Without some people´s help,
i couldn´t have developed this project. So i need to thank my
lovelies Cristi and RO,
for their words. And of course, MELI, your enthusiasm
and respect make me feel proud of being a friend of u for more than
18 years. i love you. And JOSEFI,
ia sadiqati...you are simply essential for me. Also thanks to Miguel,
Peg, Jenn, Lili...and to all the visitors i had, i have and i´ll
have...:)
